HAPPY 2011!!!!!

I am currently in a very rainy, dreary Asheville chillin in my pajamas listening to Andrew play the guitar. Such a sweet New Years morning!!

Yesterday was an amazing day. I couldn't leave 2010 behind without some major reflection, as it was the hardest/craziest/most challenging/least favorite year of my life. So yesterday, December 31, I spent 4.5 hours journaling, writing down everything I could remember about the year! I went month by month, writing down names of all the amazing people I met, songs I listened to, feelings I had, events that happened, etc. Then I went straight to a Bikram Yoga class (90 minutes, 105 degree room... good lord) and sweated out the year. It was such a great last push to the finish!! I left feeling a) exhausted b) cleansed c) ready for 2011.

I did this last year on my Kaitlin in Africa blog and want to do it again:
On the last day of every month in 2010, I came up with a word/adjective to describe that month. Ive done this for 2 years now and it is such a great way for me to reflect.

So here you have it:
The year that was 2010

January = transition
February = hectic
March = colorful
April = rejuvenating
May = reflective
June = roller-coaster
July = blur
August = closure
September = connect
October = reality
November = anticipate
December = the road

Who knows what this list will look like a year from now!
I wish everyone a happy and healthy 2011!!!
